Artifabrics

"Your Trusted Partner for Mass Fabric Production"

MONOLITH

CEO: Agnes Tuchmann

OVERVIEW:

Artifabrics is a Monolithic company that produces Textiles. They sell it to other companies en masse, gaining a large profit from it.

JOINING PROCESS:‎ ‎

Parents who just gave birth to their child and don't want it can donate their child to Artifabrics, and Artifabrics will actually pay considerably for the children, so it's a win-win. They will then preform surgery on the baby to make it into an android with implants for weaving fabric.

There are two types: Workers and Weavers. For every 10 workers there is one weaver to keep up. Workers are androids that work the fields and harvest the plants, while Weavers work that into fabric. Only the 'Exceptional' Children are chosen to be weavers

LORE:

The monolith before Artifabric wasn't all that big or important, so it wasn't a surprise they'd get taken over eventualy. What surprised everyone was how fast and how big it was. Artifabric's production was unfathomably fast, leading to overproduction. The Textiles Artifabric's produced were sold to other companies who'd use it for furniture and clothes, and the rest was history. No other textile company has even come close, to the point where if you tried to start one, people would laugh at you. Of course, this is because they kidnap children and train them into perfect machines who's only lifes purpose is defending their company.

Atrifabrics was founded 90 years ago by Agnes Tuchmann. she always thought the company name was dumb, but everyone else really liked it. Agnes was old, and she decided to choose a successor. She didn't find one in any of the parents or grandparents. She chose the most hardworking, quiet, and dedicated Weaver. They preformed surgery on her to remove her robotic appearance and make her look exactly like Agnes, and sure enough, the First Agnes died of a heart attack a month later. Nobody shared that Original Agnes even died, although the new Agnes was aged to look like her in her mid-30s, though nobody saw her much anyways. New Agnes was given the rundown, and she's handled the company quite well.

ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE:‎

CEO: The Head of the Company

Grandparents: Just the shady heads who gives and hands out orders to the rest of company, and handles the stuff the CEO doesn't feel like doing.

Parents: Robotics experts who educate the children on their new life and give them check ups. Also robotics experts that replaced their parts.

Weavers: Weavers turn the material into fabric, and due to their android implants, en mass. They're incredibly productive, and aren't given much of a break.

Workers: Androids who harvest material in plant fields. Are not treated like humans, but are convinced the life outside is worse and hopeless.

CULTURE:‎

Weavers are incredibly important and revered, and are heavily respected even by those above them in ranking. Weavers may leave the company areas if they're supervised, but must cover their entire body so nobody knows theyre androids.

Workers are treated as expendables, and 'exist' to serve the Weavers and in turn, the company. Workers are not allowed to leave the company areas.

Despite the horrid conditions, Workers and Weavers are taught to protect Artifacts, as it's their home and family.

The company is mega android racist but act really progressive.

Under the Temple, they have lines of beds for the Workers.

Weavers are given their own rooms on the upper section of the Temple. They have their own small dorms, where they weave.

Company Schedule

The Artisans function on a strict schedule. Every morning and night, they meet together in the base of the Temple, and do a headcount. During midnight, they get 7 hours of sleep.

Workers spend the rest of the day in the fields, harvesting plants. Every field has around 10 workers, and they work for 12 hours straight. Every 4 hours one of the workers is selected to bring a cart of the harvest back to the Temple.

Names

The Workers aren't given or allowed names, only being referred to as a string of numbers.

Workers:

(W)-(Field designation)-(which worker in field, 1-10)

So if you were the 7th worker in the 15th field it would be W-15-7

Weavers:

Weavers are allowed names, but it has to be one syllable and three letters.
